Shipping & Returns

Our standard shipping rates are calculated by the weight of each unique piece in our store. Additional shipping and handling fees may apply to products that are fragile, heavy, or especially bulky. 

Noted on the product page of every product are the typical shipping methods for that product.

We ship most orders via USPS or UPS within 1 to 3 business days of the order date. Of course, custom made or special orders may take longer, but we’ll let you know if that’s the case.  Our experience is that orders shipped to addresses within the contiguous United States typically arrive within 2 to 5 days of ship date.

Returns

We love our stuff and hope you do too, but we understand that sometimes there may be a reason to return or exchange an item.  In general, any item purchased on our website may be returned for store credit or a refund of the item's purchase price if returned within 14 days of your receipt of the item.  

Returned items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging.  Items returned that are not in their original packaging may be refused or subject to a restocking fee. Products involving assembly that are assembled are no longer considered to be in original condition and may not be returned under our policy.  

Unfortunately, shipping charges are not refundable and will be deducted from your refund.  Return shipment costs are also the responsibility of the buyer.

Please note that custom orders, special orders, large-volume orders and sale items are final sale.  We do not accept returns or exchanges on such items.

To return or exchange an item, just follow these simple steps:

  1. E-mail us at info@shopforthepeople.net and request a return/exchange authorization so we know to expect your package. 
  2. Package the item in a way to ensure safe transportation.  Include a copy of your receipt and send to:  FOR THE PEOPLE - Returns, 5102 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012.  We recommend that you insure the package and send it via a trackable delivery method, as we are not responsible for items that are damaged or lost in return shipment.   
  3. We will inspect the returned item and if it is unused and in its original condition and packaging, we will issue a store credit or refund for the item's purchase price, less shipping costs. 

All returns and exchanges will be processed expeditiously, but please allow up to 1 week for your return or exchange to be processed.

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please email us immediately at info@shopforthepeople.net so we can assist you.

Tracking Information

The day your order ships, you will receive an email from us letting you know that your order is on its way, as well as a tracking link (if applicable) so you can chart its progress from us to you.

In-store Pickup

Arizona customers can choose to hold items for pick-up at our Phoenix store free of charge.

Taxes

We’re headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, so we’re required to collect sales taxes from our Arizona-based customers. In Arizona, sales tax rates vary by county. The prices displayed on our website exclude sales taxes. If you’re in Arizona, sales tax will be calculated and added to your order total when you check out.
